Pre-School Workers
Hi, my name is Kath Humphreys. I deputise for Felicity when required and have 4 children who have all attended Pre School. I have worked at the pre-school since 2003 and completed my NVQ 3 in Children's Learning, Care and Development in 2010. One of the most satisfying parts of my job is to help the new little ones settle in and see them grow in confidence. I also love working with the children on creative projects and tasks. I am also responsible for carrying out the 2 year progress checks.
Hi my name is Cassie Alderman. I joined the pre-school in May 2012 to cover a maternity leave - happily I was kept on after that and I love being part of the small team here. I worked at Hollyoak Nursery for 18 months before starting at Bishops Nympton and I have a BTEC in Children's Care, Learning and Development which I completed in 2010. I have one son who came to pre-school and is now at Primary School and another that has now started at the pre-school. I think that being a Mum to young children really helps me when working with the children here.
I enjoy looking at issues regarding special needs and would like to attend more courses on this topic. We have good links with the primary school and I enjoy our afternoons when we join with the reception class for activities. My hobbies include watching films and chilling out when I have the time!
My name is Samantha Baynes and I am currently working in Pre-School. I have a Level 3 Qualification and have experience working in both pre-schools and a day nursery have experience. I worked as a Deputy Manager for a Pre-School for 3 years and have a key focus on Language and Communication Difficulties, doing my very best to ensure every child has a positive and rewarding experience in Pre-School. I enjoy working in Pre-School as the impact that you can have on a child's early years is so rewarding.
